TYLER, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (10-13, 3-3 RRAC) took a convincing 3-0 win at Texas College (4-16, 0-6) in Red River Athletic Conference action on Friday.
 
The Lady Rams turned in a very solid hitting performance on their way to wins of 25-11, 25-13, and 25-13.
 
“This was a good win for us to keep our composure throughout the match,” commented head coach Christy Clawson.  “We have been working on reducing our opponent’s runs regardless of the opponent.  We fought hard throughout the match and hopefully that will carry over into tomorrow.”
 
For the match, the Rams hit .340, while TC managed just .037.  Katherine Rosenbusch led that offensive effort with 12 kills against one error for a .500 hitting percentage.  Meghan Finley did not make an error while putting away nine kills.  Alex Hendee finished with 11 kills, and Lynsay Buell added five kills and only one error.
 
Angelica Arroyo set the offense to 37 assists.  Marissa Rangel added 13 digs and four service aces.
 
The Lady Rams will return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Marshall, TX, to take on Wiley College.  That match is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
