Volleyball vs. HTU100912 Gallery
Fort Worth, Texas- The Texas Wesleyan volleyball team downed Huston-Tillotson U in three straight sets (16-25, 17-25, 15-25) Tuesday night at the Sid Richardson Center to stay perfect in conference play for the season. The Lady Rams are 5-0 in conference play and improve to 16-8 overall for the season.
Meghan Finley connected on 12 kills leading the way in points for the Lady Rams with Katie Rosenbusch and Lynsay Buell adding 8 and 7 kills.
Stephanie Dominguez pitched in 18 assists while Lauren Hutchinson contributed with 14 digs. Angelica Arroyo also had 15 assists in the win.
Head coach Christy Clawson was pleased on the solid performance her squad put forward on the court and hopes her unit continues to keep a strong focus as the season progresses.
“Good win against HTU, pretty solid performance,” said Clawson. “We had a few moments of mental laps with compounded errors but overall I am pleased with our performance and the younger players stepping up and the returners doing a great job of leading. We need to keep our focus one match at a time and work to stay consistent throughout the entire match.”
The team hopes to increase their winning streak to four games when they host Wayland Baptist University on Thursday, October 11
th at the Sid Richardson Center at 7:00 p.m. continuing a four-game home stretch for the Lady Rams.
