SILOAM SPRINGS, AR: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (13-18, 9-6 SAC) took a 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-23) loss to John Brown University (21-10, 9-6 SAC) on Friday.
 
The stout Golden Eagle defense limited the Wesleyan offensive attack for the entire match. The Rams posted a .128 hitting percentage for the match, while JBU hit .212.
 
The Golden Eagles made the most of their opportunities posting 44 kills, while Texas Wesleyan managed just 29 kills in the match. Four Golden Eagles posted double digit digs, frustrating the Ram attack.
 
Alex Hendee led the Lady Rams with eight kills. Shelby Stinnett had five kills and 14 digs in the match. Abigail Zipoy posted five kills. Lauren Hamaker notched 13 assists and nine digs. Shaughnessy Hearn led all players with 28 digs.
 
The Lady Rams will finish the regular season with a match at Oklahoma City University tomorrow starting at 2:00 pm.
