Box Score MONTGOMERY, AL:  The Texas Wesleyan University men's soccer team was defeated 4-0 in their season opener at second ranked Auburn University Montgomery on Friday. 
In the eleventh minute, a yellow card on junior defender 
Alex Ellis gave the Warhawks a free kick that Alan Harwell converted into a goal on an assist from Yannic Fallack off of a deflection.  Harwell scored again in the 24th minute and AUM led 2-0 at the intermission. 
The Rams were called for their third caution of the game less than a minute into the second half.  The situation worsened in the 52nd minute when 
Denis Ushakov was shown a red card and the Rams played on shorthanded.  Seconds later, AUM's Pedro Antonelli took a shot, collected his own rebound, and scored the third goal of the contest. 
A goal from Fallack in the 69th minute capped the scoring at 4-0. 
For the game, the Warhawks outshot the Rams 24-9 including 12-6 in shots on goal.  AUM's Phillip Hitpass made six saves to preserve the shutout while Texas Wesleyan's 
Arturo Sanchez made eight saves against the Warhawk attack. 
Fouls were nearly even with the Rams hearing nine whistles to AUM's seven; however, the Rams were shown four cards while the Warhawks saw none. 
Texas Wesleyan will continue action at the Warhawks Kick-Off Classic on Saturday.  Their contest against St. Thomas University (FL) is set for a 4:30 p.m. start.
