OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (16-9, 5-3 SAC) picked up another important 3-1 (25-14, 25-14, 21-25, 25-17) conference win over Mid-America Christian University (11-8, 2-7 SAC) at the Gaulke Activity Center on Saturday.
The Lady Rams continued on their daunting conference road stretch, taking on an upset minded underdog in the Evangels. Wesleyan is now 3-3 in the conference road stretch with two more to go in Saint Gregory's University and Southwestern Christian.
The Rams outscored the Evangels 71-51 in the four set win as TWU edged their opponent in kills 55-38, and aces 9-4. The Evangels posted nine blocks as a team, as Wesleyan could only manage seven. The two teams committed 22 attacking errors, but it was the Lady Rams who tallied 17 more kills that helped tremendously.
