SHAWNEE, OK:  The Texas Wesleyan University women's soccer team (8-3-1, 3-1-1 SAC) notched their 4th shutout of the season with a 2-0 win at St. Gregory's University (6-7, 1-4 SAC) on Friday.
Kaitlin Bush keyed the Lady Rams attack, getting involved in both goals.  Just 9:48 in, Bush found
Shrareh Asadi for the game's first goal.
Just before the break (39th minute),
Samantha Moore found Bush in the box for her 8th goal of the season.
The Rams kept the Cavaliers under constant pressure in the first half.  Texas Wesleyan put 9 of their 11 first half shots on frame.  Jena Flewelling made five of her seven saves in the period to hold the score to 2-0.
For the game, the Rams outshot the Cavaliers 20-11.
Nikki Lockwood (8-3-1) needed three saves to notch her 18th career shutout.
"It's great to get a win on the road," commented head coach
Josh Gibbs.  "It was good to get some players healthy and back in the mix.  We still aren't back to our full complement, but the players we have back in the attack really did well today.  Lots of attacking soccer, and hopefully we can finish a few more chances in the next game."
The Rams will return to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Chickasha, OK, to take on the University of Science & Arts (OK).  That game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start.
