DENTON, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (3-3) took on Texas Woman's University (5-2) in a 54-46 exhibition loss at Kitty Magee Arena on Monday.

The Lady Rams got out to a hot start, posting an 8-0 run capped by an
Onyesonam Nolisa jumper four minutes into the game.
Katelynn Threats put in a jumper to keep a 14-4 lead on the Pioneers.
Falesha Fuller knocked down a two-pointer to lead 18-4, and then Texas Woman's put in the next two before the quarter ended to make it an 18-8 game.

The second stanza started with the Pioneers chopping the lead to 19-12 that prompted a Wesleyan timeout with 6:22 left in the half.
Leila Jdily-Ezzad and the Lady Rams got back out to a 23-13 lead on a layup with 3:19 on the clock. The Pioneers started a rally though, taking a 9-2 to halftime while cutting the lead to just one-point at 25-24.

The Pioneers started the second half by taking a 26-25 lead on an Emily Spector jumper. The two teams traded the lead the entire third quarter, and the Lady Rams made their last six points off free throws. The Pioneers held a slight 36-35 edge heading into the final frame.

Threats hit a jumper to mark the first points of the fourth quarter to give the Rams a 37-36 lead. Texas Woman's hit a 5-0 rally to grab a 41-37 lead with 3:19 remaining. The Pioneers held a lead until the Lady Rams made a late push. With a minute and a half left in the game, Texas Wesleyan posted a 4-0 rally capped by a
Falesha Fuller jumper to tie the game with eight seconds left. The Pioneers missed the shot at the buzzer and the game proceeded to overtime.

Threats put in a lay-in to lead 45-44 in overtime, but the Pioneers launched into a 7-0 rally to grab a 51-45 lead with just a minute to go. The Lady Rams were held in check the rest of the way and Texas Woman's went on to a 54-46 overtime win.

Threats led the way with 18 points, while tacking on nine boards.
Delana Lopez notched 15 rebounds and seven points in the loss. Fuller knocked down 12 points in the contest. Jdily-Ezzad posted five points, six boards, and five assists for the Rams. Â
