WAXAHACHIE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University softball team (10-8, 2-0 SAC) took an 11-0 win in five innings before launching to a 12-1 victory in six innings at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (3-15, 0-4 SAC) on Tuesday.

All nine Lady Ram batters recorded a hit in game one on the way to 11 hits. Wesleyan produced just as many RBI in the lopsided affair, with
Amber Marlett leading the charge going 2 for 2 with 3 RBI and a home run.
Amber Tucker went 1 for 3 with a pair of RBI, while
Kayla Prachyl went 2 for 2 with two RBI.
Chelsea Anderson also went 1 for3 with a couple RBI. The Rams used the offensive outburst to fuel the 11-0 win.

Marlett improved to 5-4 with the win. She tossed all five innings while giving up only two hits and one walk on six strikeouts. Â Â Â

Marlett started the second game with a first inning two RBI double to right center. She would later score on a Lady Lion error for a 3-0 lead.

Lauren Gunter led off the third inning with single to shortstop.
Aizia Azarcon reached on an error that allowed Gunter to score to extend the lead to 4-0.

Marlett added another run in the fourth on a RBI single to right.
Chelsea Anderson followed with a single to left field to put runners on the corners with one out. Azarcon smashed a double to left to plate two and make it a 7-0 cushion.

The Lady Lions led off the bottom of the fourth inning with three consecutive hits capped bya Britney Johnson RBI double down the left field line to make it a 7-1 game. Â

Texas Wesleyan added a run in the fifth before exploding on a six run rally in the sixth.
Marisol Gomez hit a RBI single to shallow left to start the inning. Prachyl popped a RBI single to center before Marlett singled to left with the bases juiced to score two more runs to make it a 12-1.

The Lady Rams took care of business in the bottom half of the inning to take the 12-1 win. The Rams broke loose with 14 hits and 11 RBI as a team.

Marlett continued on her tear through opposing pitchers with a 4 for 5 performance, tallying five RBI along the way. Â Prachyl went 2 for 5 with a RBI, while Gunter went 2 for 2 with a RBI.

Lauren Wernet (2-2) threw all six innings, scattered seven hits, gave up one run, and fanned six in the win.

The Lady Rams will continue the road trip with a double header with Oklahoma Baptist University on Friday, March 27 starting at 5:00 pm in Shawnee, OK.
