WAXAHACHE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University softball team (14-20, 6-12 SAC) dropped a pair of games (5-2, 10-2) against No. 1 ranked Oklahoma City University (41-1, 18-0 SAC) at Lady Lion Softball Field on the campus of Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Wednesday.

In game one, the Stars found a favorable position in the second inning after a passed ball put a runner on third. Carissa Turang singled up the middle to put two runs on the board for an early 2-0 advantage.

Oklahoma City added another run in the fourth after a runner scored on a 7-3-5 double play. That brought the score to a 3-0 cushion.

The Lady Rams got on the board with a
Lauren Gunter monster smash over the left field fence to make it a 3-1 game after four innings of play.

Oklahoma City added a pair in the sixth on another Turang two RBI single to make it a 5-1 game.

Gunter singled in the home half of the inning to set up a
Kayla Prachyl RBI single to deep right center field to make it a 5-2 game

Gunter went 2 for 4 with a RBI, while Prachyl went 1 for 3 with a run batted in.

The Stars got busy in game two with a pair of runs in the top of the first, but Wesleyan answered in the bottom half of the inning.

Amber Tucker started the inning with a base hit to left center.
Dani West followed with a base hit bunt to the pitcher. Prachyl hit a successful sacrifice
Chelsea Anderson and drove in a run to put the Rams on the board. Gunter hit a shot that had eyes right through the left side to plate another run, tying the game at two apiece

The top ranked Stars kept pouring on the hits though, leading to crooked numbers in the second, fourth, and fifth inning to take a 10-2 win in five innings.

Gunter led the Lady Rams again going 1 for 3 with a RBI. Tucker went 2 for 3. Anderson went 1 for 3 with a RBI.

The Lady Rams will be back in action on Friday, April 17 in a meeting with Oklahoma Baptist University at Sycamore Park starting at 5:00 pm
