FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men's soccer team (6-2) cruised to a 4-0 win over Southwestern Adventist University at Martin Field on Wednesday.
In a dominant performance, the Rams outshot the Knights 42-3 and led 17-1 in shots on goal.
Ofir Avisar netted his second goal of the season to get the scoring started when goalkeeper
Marko Jovanovic knocked the ball over the defense in the 21st minute. Five minutes later,
Alex Ellis played a ball across the face of the goal and
Denis Ushakov scored his team-leading 5th goal of the season.
Derek Smith scored from 25 yards out in the 49th minute, and
Ross McArthur converted a free kick from the left wing to cap the scoring in the 72nd minute.
The Rams now lead the all-time series with SWAU 4-0 and have outscored the Knights 28-2 overall.
Texas Wesleyan will return to action on Tuesday, when they host Southwestern Christian University in their first Sooner Athletic Conference game of the season. That game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start at Martin Field.

- The Rams were listed as receiving votes in the latest edition of the NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll. The Rams, who were picked 4th in the SAC Preseason Poll, are currently ranked 2nd in the SAC behind only No. 24 University of Science & Arts.
- Wednesday's game marked the 3rd shutout of the season for the Rams.
