MUSKOGEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (14-7, 3-1 SAC) picked up a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-11) over Bacone College (0-8, 0-4 SAC) on Saturday.
 
The Lady Rams needed the pick me up after dropping a hard fought road match at John Brown less than 24 hours prior to the match today.
 
 The Lady Rams went from hitting .087 yesterday to hitting .236 as a team, and finished the third set with strong attacking numbers hitting .324 (14-2-27).
 
Some of the Lady Ram players got a much needed day off, and the rest of the Rams filled in nicely. Mary Trejo stepped in as Libero and tallied a career high 21 digs, adding a service ace in the process. Abby Zipoy notched 12 kills and 13 digs in the match. Conference leader Kristina Gafford posted 34 assists and five kills for the Rams. Alanna Hayhurst hit .467 (8-1-15), while tacking 14 digs in the win.
 
The Lady Rams will stay on the road to play Oklahoma City University on Tuesday, September, 29 starting at 6:00 pm.
