Rams Drop Road Game to SCU

BETHANY, OK:  The Southwestern Christian University men's soccer team (10-2, 4-0 SAC) which received votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll stated its case for inclusion in next week's rating with an emphatic 7-1 win over Texas Wesleyan University (5-8, 2-2 SAC) Saturday afternoon.

The Rams were whistled for 10 fouls in the first half and they were immediately costly.  A foul 22 seconds in led to a goal from Igor Stojanovic 30 seconds later.

SCU's Keenan Douce and Lucas Loureiro scored a pair of goals each as the Eagles ran out to a 6-0 lead in the first half.

In the second half, Micah Day scored the Rams' lone goal of the contest off an assist from Uriel Pacheco.  Douce completed a hat trick when he converted a penalty kick that capped the scoring in the 61st minute.

The Rams will return to action on Wednesday, when they travel to Waxahachie, TX, to take on Southwestern Assemblies of God University.  That game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.
