FORT WORTH, TX: The 19th ranked Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team (9-2) delivered a 115-72 win over Barclay College (1-10) at the Sid Richardson Center on Monday.
The Rams led by as many as 50 points while shooting 60% from the floor and 50% (14-28) from distance in the contest.
Four Rams reached double-figures in scoring in the first half, led by
Jeremy Crane who poured in 13 off the bench. After Barclay kept things close in the opening minutes, trailing 18-16, the Rams went on a 20-3 run over a 10-minute stretch and never looked back.
By the game's end, six Rams had reached double-figures in scoring. Crane posted a game-high 25 points while ripping 7-of-9 three-point attempts.
Naiel Smith filled the stat sheet to the tune of 12 points, 13 assists, 6 steals, and 5 rebounds.
Dion Rogers posted 15 points and 7 assists.
Ryan Harris added 15 points, and
Trevon Jeffery and
Najeal Young each finished with 12 points and 6 boards. Demarcus Emmuanuel just missed a double-double with 8 points and 12 rebounds.
The Rams held the Bears to 43% shooting from the floor and dominated the glass 47-25. Texas Wesleyan also forced 26 turnovers and turned those miscues into 29 points.
Monday's game was the first set of Texas Wesleyan's only back-to-back this season. The Rams will turn around and host Huston-Tillotson University tomorrow night. That game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.

- This was the first meeting between Texas Wesleyan and Barclay. The Rams lead the all-time series with Huston-Tillotson 21-5.
