GRAND PRAIRIE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (8-7) suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of UT-Dallas (4-3) at The Ballpark in Grand Prairie on Thursday.
The Comets got on the board first when they took advantage of a passed ball to scratch a run in the second inning. The Rams responded with a sac fly from
Casey Moses that followed a UT-Dallas error.
UTD again took advantage of passed balls to score single runs in the seventh and eighth before scoring the lone earned run of the game in the ninth.
Alex Lopez received no decision for the Rams after allowing an unearned run on four hits in six innings pitched.
UTD's Aaron Bach needed just 89 pitches to finish off the complete game. Bach (2-1) allowed just an unearned run while scattering seven hits across nine innings.
Ryan Chen (0-1) took the loss. He allowed an unearned run on one hit and a walk in an inning of work.

Ryan Adam each had a pair of hits in the loss.
The Rams will return to action this weekend with a three-game series at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for a12:00 p.m. start. Sunday's finale is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. first pitch.

- The Rams lead the all-time series with UTD 17-13 although the Comets have won three in a row. The Rams have never met Our Lady of the Lake University on the baseball field.
