Moses, Rams Walk-Off in the 9th!

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University's (15-13, 5-3 SAC) Casey Moses delivered a three-run walk-off home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to deliver a 6-3 win over the 24th ranked University of Science & Arts (OK) Drovers (21-7, 4-2 SAC) at Sycamore Park on Sunday.  With the win, the Rams took the Sooner Athletic Conference series two games to one.

The Rams cracked the scoreboard first with an unearned run on an RBI single from Jake Davis in the second inning.  Another two-out RBI single from Erick Quesada in the third made it 2-0.

Alex Gudac led off the fifth inning and touched off a solo home run to left center.

Stephen Yancey held the Drovers to just three base runners and only one hit through six innings.  In the seventh, USAO's second hit of the day was a two-run homer from Raul Centeno.  Cesar Feguereo then doubled down the left field line, and Colton Baker delivered a game-tying single up the middle.

In the ninth, the Drovers put two aboard with no outs.  Figuereo laid down a bunt that Alex Lopez picked up and fired to third to get the lead runner.  Colton Baker grounded out, and Wade Regas entered the game to induce another grounder to end the inning with runners at second and third.

In the bottom of the ninth, Davis drew a leadoff walk.  Garrett Crook bunted Davis to second.  The Drovers intentionally walked Ryan Adam, and Gudac flew out to deep left-center sending the runners to second and third.  After a consultation on the mound, USAO decided to pitch to Moses, and Moses blasted the first pitch over the leftfield fence to end the game.

Regas (3-4) picked up the win after tossing a single pitch and recording the last out of the ninth.  Alsis Herrera (4-1) took the loss after allowing six runs (5 earned) on nine hits and three walks in 8.2 innings.

Yancey worked seven innings and allowed three runs on four hits while striking out six.  Lopez worked 1.2 innings of scoreless relief to preserve a tie score.

The Rams outhit the Drovers 9-5.  Adam went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Texas Wesleyan's game scheduled for Tuesday at UT-Dallas has been rescheduled for Wednesday.  The game will now start at 3:00 p.m. at Sycamore Park.
