FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's soccer team (8-2, 3-1 SAC) cruised to a 6-0 victory over Southwestern Christian University (4-7, 1-3 SAC) at Martin Field Saturday evening.
Senior captain Samantha Moore gave the Rams a quick lead when she found the net on the team's first shot attempt just 2:12 into the contest. After assisting that strike, Taylor Ross collected a rebound of a McKenzie Dyer corner kick and gave the Rams a 2-0 lead and two goals on three total shots through 12 minutes.
In the 58th minute, Cheyanne Moore scored off an assist from Hana Diaz. Two minutes later Tameir Grosvenor knocked in her 17th goal of the season off of another Taylor Ross assist.
In the 76th minute Samantha Moore assisted a McKenzie Dyer goal, and two minutes later Moore capped the scoring with an assist from Cheyenne Moore.
For the game, the Rams outshot the Eagles 18-8 and led 5-2 in corner kicks.
Christy Zwart (7-1) made a pair of saves in the first half, while Lauren Bond recorded three saves in the second half to keep the Eagles off the scoreboard.
The Rams have a pair of road games next week. They will take on Central Christian College in McPherson, KS, on Thursday and then travel to Shawnee, OK, to take on St. Gregory's University on Saturday.

- Tameir Grosevenor has scored in nine of her first ten collegiate games. She currently ranks fourth nationally with 17 goals and sixth with 37 points.
- This was Texas Wesleyan's sixth shutout through ten games this season. The school record is 12 shutouts in a single season (2011).
- The Rams are now 25-12-5 all-time in SAC play. They lead the all-time series with SCU 6-0, while they are 1-0 all-time against Central Christian.
