Box Score CHICHASHA, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (2-7, 0-3 SAC) could not sustain a hot start, suffering an 88-68 loss to University of Science & Arts (7-2, 2-1 SAC) at Drover Fieldhouse on Thursday.

Karah Sicurella grabbed the first five points to spark a great first five minutes for the Lady Rams. Sicurella added a steal and a pair of rebounds in the time. TXWES maintained a five-point edge on a
Falesha Fuller jumper, but the Drovers drained a pair of threes to take a 12-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Drovers found a groove and really never looked back the rest of the way, establishing a double-digit lead three minutes into the second quarter. The lead swelled to 20 in the third before the Lady Rams chopped the lead to 13 after an 11-4 run capped by a
Lexi Burns sank a long range shot to make it 51-38. The Lady Rams kept fighting, getting the lead down to 12 late in the quarter after an
Alycia Louallen triple. The Drovers stayed frosty from the floor though, overpowering TXWES on the way to 20-point win.

Evie Whorley was able to make some noise despite the loss. The freshman from Kennedale, TX posted a career high 17 points in 21 minutes of play.
Adrianna Davis led the team with seven boards in just eight minutes. Fuller added 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals in the effort.
Lexi Burns finished with 12 points and four assists. Sicurella ended the game with 11 points.

The Lady Rams will look to obtain their first conference win of the season in a meeting with Mid-America Christian on Saturday, December 16. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Sid Richardson Center.
