MUSKOGEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University softball team (17-14, 5-7 SAC) took a split at Bacone College (9-27, 5-7 SAC) on Saturday. The Lady Rams dropped a 6-4 game one before powering to a five inning, 10-1 in game two.

The Warriors posted an early lead with a Callie Beene home run to left in the first inning. Bacone added another run off of an error to take a 2-0 lead.

Kayla Prachyl got the Rams on the board in the top of third on a sacrifice fly hit deep enough to center for
Demi Dotson to score.

Lauren Gunter gave Texas Wesleyan a 3-2 lead on her third home run of the season in the fourth inning.

The Warriors put up a three run inning in the sixth, capped by another Beene homer to left-center that gave Bacone a 6-4 cushion heading into the seventh.

The Lady Rams could not make up any ground and the Warriors came away with the win. Stormie Knowlton (4-8) earned the win for Bacone, while
Brittany Rosenberry (5-5) took the loss.

The Lady Rams took advantage of six Warrior errors, starting with two runs in the first inning. Prachyl added another run on a single to left in the second.
Samantha Bastien capped the inning with a two RBI single to left, giving the Rams a 7-0 advantage.

TXWES posted three more runs in the fifth. The first run crossed the plate on a wild pitch before
Dani Jackson tacked on a RBI with a sacrifice fly to right.
Bailey Terry followed suit with sacrifice fly to left field.

Bacone College got a run back in the fifth, but the Rams shut the door and activated the run rule with a 10-1 win.

Justine Cielenski (3-1) earned the win. She threw five innings, allowed one run (none earned) on two hits, walked two, and sat down two.

The Lady Rams return to Sycamore Park on Thursday, April 6 for a conference double header with Southwestern Christian University. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
