OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (RV) (14-1, 4-1 SAC) notched their sixth consecutive win in a 3-0 match (25-21, 25-13, 25-13) over Mid-America Christian University (2-9, 1-4 SAC) at the Gaulke Activity Center on Saturday.

The Lady Rams spread the love in the attacking department, with four different players catching eight kills apiece in the win. TXWES also hit a balmy .376 (45-7-101) against the Evangels. Texas Wesleyan also out-blocked the Evangels, 5-0. The third set was no-contest as the Rams hit .435 while the Evangels struggled, hitting a game low .067.

In the first set, the score was tied 8-8, but the Rams made a 6-2 run to gain a four-point edge at 14-10. A Robinson kill made it 24-19, but the Evangels got back two points before
Brianna Jaramillo put the smack down for a first set win.

TXWES went two and three for one against the Evangels to start the second set, but fired off an 8-1 run and widen the margin at 22-11.
Shaylee Griffin put one away to make it 2-0 Lady Rams.

Texas Wesleyan established a 13-6 lead on a Jaramillo,
Tierra Coverson block before MACU forced a 5-0 run to cut the lead to three at 14-11. The Rams came right back with monster authority, rattling off an 11-1 run to match point at 24-12. The Evangels got one back before
Dana Lohrke and Griffin teamed up on a block for the straight set win.

Shelby Stinnett led the charge with a spotless attacking line (8-0-17) for a .471 percentage, adding two aces and a game-high 11 digs.
Brittni Mohle was also spotless from the attacking position (8-0-17) for a .500 percentage. Robinson posted eight kills, hitting .375, to go along with 27 assists, while also getting in on three blocks.
Dana Lohrke followed up her stout attacking line from yesterday with eight kills and a .353 hitting percentage.
Tierra Coverson posted five kills on no errors, posting a career high three aces, and added a pair of block assists. Coverson ranks sixth in the nation in blocks per game at 1.36.
Kayla Hayes grabbed 10 digs in the win. Â

Texas Wesleyan has out hit opponents .329 to .114 over their last four games. The teams ranks 15 th in the nation in hitting percentage (.247), 24th in kills per game (13.390), and 32nd in blocks per game (2.150).

TXWES continues conference play by hosting Bacone College on Friday, September 29. The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. start at the Sid Richardson Center.
