FORT WORTH – The Texas Wesleyan men's basketball team (0-0) will open the 2020-21 season on Saturday at 2 pm in early season action against Arlington Baptist University in the Sid Richardson Center.
Admission for opening day is free. Visit our

This will be first game since a 98-96 loss to Science & Arts in the opening round of the SAC tournament on March 3rd, before the year got "unprecedentedly" weird.
The team went 21-9 and earned a bid the NAIA national tournament. However, before the Rams could get to Kansas City to take on Mount Carrol (Mont.), the NAIA canceled post season play for winter sports and eventually the spring season.
Last season, the program added a pair of all-americans (Peyton Salle,
Akeem White), three all-conference selections (
Sam Lorenzen, Sallee, White).
Key returners include Salle, who shot 40 percent from the three point line and averaged 13.6 points per game, while
Davon Berry dished 94 assists and scored 10.6 ppg. Sabastian Karwoski also returns, the team's leading rebounder (184) a year ago.
The Rams will hope to erase the way the 2019-20 season ended with a big home win on opening day. Arlington Baptist went 11-19 last season and 10-5 in NCCAA play.
