Tuesday was raining triples. TXWES hit six in 14 innings of work, including two from Peyton Davidson, two from

A victory over the 14th-highest ranked team by NAIA coaches - Olivet Nazarene, would have certainly turned some heads as the Lady Rams once again proved their record is nothing but a number. Down 12-4, Texas Wesleyan earned five runs on five hits in the final stanza of the afternoon, climbing to within three points on
Khloe Summers' 2 RBI single. With the tying run at the plate, a pop-up ended the two-out rally.Â
The resurgence from Johnson as she works her way back to 100 percent has been a game-changer for the offense. Johnson has worked her way back into the starting lineup as the designated hitter and hit 4-for-7 Tuesday with 6 RBI, five more than she's had in her first eight appearances of her 2020 campaign.
Pitcher
Taylor Tubbs worked on the mound 10 total innings Tuesday after getting seven innings of work on Monday. Tubbs has pitched 63 innings this season, the third-most by a freshman in the NAIA. Her 52 strikeouts are sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Other standouts at the plate included Rhoades (4-for-7, 3 RBI),
Kylie Summers (4-for-8) and
Khloe Summers (3-for-8, 2 RBI).
