AUSTIN – The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (17-5) increased its win streak to eight consecutive matches after a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-12, 25-19) of Huston-Tillotson University (7-7) at Mary E. Branch Stadium on Tuesday.

The Lady Rams are now 10-1 all-time against the HT Rams, dating back to Sept. 2010. TXWES has won the last three meetings with Huston – Tillotson. The most notable win came in the 2019 NAIA National Tournament Opening Round match, an epic come from behind 3-2 thriller at the Sid Richardson Center.

TXWES hit an efficient .419 in the win, the second best effort of the season. The Lady Rams also tallied seven total blocks, led by Veronika Webb and Bailey Foy with 2.5 each.

The TXWES offense overpowered the home team defense in the lopsided victory, as Foy hit .684 and led the way with 16 kills. Sydney Charlton hit .462 behind eight kills, while Nyia Anderson hit .417 on eight kills.
