The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (RV) added two more to the win column over the weekend, sweeping Science & Arts 3-0 on Friday before over powering Mid-America Christian 3-1 on Saturday.

The Lady Rams improve to 19-5 overall and sit at the top of the standings in conference play at 14-2, holding a half-game lead over Wayland Baptist at 13-3 in SAC play. TXWES dropped a 3-1 match to the Pioneers in Plainview, however Wayland took a 3-2 loss at MACU and OPSU. The Rams completed the season sweep of MACU on Saturday and will host the Pioneers on Friday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.

In fact, the remainder of the schedule sees the team playing the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 7th SAC ranked teams, and all but one of those team have a winning conference record.

In the match against the Drovers (8-18, 1-15 SAC), the Lady Rams hit .337 compared to the opponent hitting .162. The Lady Rams put down 11 service aces, a season high.

Sydney Charlton had 10 kills and no errors on 19 attempts, hitting .526, her best hitting performance since the last time the team played the Drovers on Sept. 18 when she hit a season high .700.

Second in the NAIA in hitting percentage (.444),
Bailey Foy tacked on 11 kills.
Morgan Burns led all players with 35 assists, while three ended in double digits in digs (
Nyia Anderson-12, Skyler Warde-10,
Andrea Malek-10).

In the match with the Evangels, the Rams held MACU to just .155 hitting. TXWES hit .299, led by
Nyia Anderson's 15 kills. Foy (13) and
Veronika Webb (11) also hit double digits in the same category.

Burns picked up her seventh double-double of the season behind 41 assists and 14 digs. Malek (15) and
Ruby O'Brien (14) also topped double digits in digs.

The Lady Rams also dominated in blocking, 8-4. Foy led all players with five block assists, while Anderson, Charlton and Webb each had three.

The Lady Rams welcome Wayland Baptist to the Sid Richardson Center on Friday, Oct. 29 in a Pink Out game supporting breast cancer awareness. Â The match is set for a 6 p.m. start.
