The Rams fell to #18 Langston 42-31 last week, after establishing a 17-7 first quarter advantage. It was the most points the stout Lion defense surrendered so far this season, but LU shut out the Ram in the second and third quarters and held on for the win in the fourth.
 
TXWES turns its sight on the newest SAC team in Louisiana College, who made the move from NCAA DIII and the American Southwest Conference to the NAIA. LC averages just 24.3 points per game coming into a road contest. Meanwhile, the Rams rank 13th in the NAIA in scoring per game at 41.2, one of five team in the SAC ranked in the top 25 in that category.
 
On the other side of the ball, the Wildcats surrender 38.1 ppg, while the Rams has held its opposition to 29.2 ppg.
 
AJ Bobb was named SAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time in this 2021 campaign, after supplying TXWES with 180 all-purpose yards including an 84-yard kick-off return against Langston last week.
