CHICKASHA, Okla. — The Texas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team fell 5-0 at Science and Arts (USAO) on Tuesday. It is the first time the Lady Rams have been shutout this season and marks the fifth straight win for the Drovers who are receiving votes in the NAIA poll.

The Lady Rams struggled offensively, taking just one shot during the first half. That shot taken by
Savanna Barron in the 11
th minute hit the crossbar, and the Drovers controlled possession for the rest of the half.

After four consecutive offsides calls, USAO scored the first goal of the match on their fifth shot in the 21
stminute. By the end of the first half, the Drovers would extend their lead to 3-0.Â

Julia Villalobos did her best to defend a charged USAO offense, recording 8 saves of 15 shots during the first half.

Eight minutes into the second half, USAO found the back of the net again, then extended their advantage to 5-0 by the 65
th minute. TXWES managed to take 4 shots in the second half, but only one from
Vanessa Soriano was on target and promptly saved by USAO.

Villalobos finished the match with 11 saves, the second most she has notched this season after recording a career high 14 saves at Houston-Victoria.

The loss drops TXWES to 5-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. USAO moves to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the league.

The Lady Rams will be back at home at 1 pm on Saturday, Oct. 9 as they host John Brown at Martin Field.Â
