BETHANY, Okla. — The Texas Wesleyan Volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-23) victory at Southwestern Christian on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Rams swept the Eagles, marking their sixth sweep of the season as TXWES improves to 15-5 overall and 10-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Their 10-2 conference record puts them even with Wayland Baptist, who leads in the league standings with a 17-5 overall record.

Meanwhile SCU drops to 6-12 overall and 2-10 in the league after their fourth loss in a row.
Historically, the Lady Rams are 19-0 against SCU.

Against the Eagles, the Lady Rams hit a solid .385 while SCU struggled offensively with just a .157 hitting clip.

TXWES had at least a ten-point lead in their first two set wins but had a scare in the third as the Eagles went on a six point run after a 22-16 deficit.
Bailey Foy laid down a kill putting the Lady Rams at set point, and SCU responded with one of their own, fighting to stay alive 24-23.

The momentum stayed with the Lady Rams as Foy knocked down her 13
th kill of the match on a .545 hitting percentage to win the game for TXWES. Foy also led the Lady Rams with 5 blocks of 9 total by TXWES.Â

Morgan Burns notched double digit assists for the 14
th match in a row by recording 22 against SCU.

Ashley Curry led with 3 aces and 9 digs, while
Skylar Warde matched her defensively with 9 digs as well.

The match concludes a 6-game road trip for the Lady Rams who will return home to the Sid Richardson Center to host Central Christian College (Kan.) on Oct. 15.
