Rams lose first game of the season

FORT WORTH -- The Texas Wesleyan Men's Basketball team lost their first game of the season to Baker College 77-68 on Saturday afternoon at the Sid Richardson Center.
TXWES was stagnant on offense as the Rams only shot 34 percent from the field, making 20 of their 58 shots. Baker college shot 50 percent from the field making 25 of their 50 shots. The Wildcats shot 11 of 22 from the three-point line (50 percent.) The Rams shot 7 of 19 from the three-point line (34 percent.)
The Rams defense forced the Wildcats to turn the ball over ten times. The Wildcats outrebounded the Rams 36 to 28 on the boards.
Senior Vydal Bradford led all scorers in the game with 20 points on 6 of 16 shooting from the field. He also shot 7 of 8 from the free-throw line. Junior Kristan Lafayette poured in 12 points off the bench on 4 of 7 shooting from the field.
Kobe Buffalomeat led all Wildcat scorers with 18 points on 7 of 11 shooting and snagged six rebounds. 
TXWES moves to 4-1 on the season and Baker College moves to 3-3. The Rams begin conference play on Thursday, Nov, 18 as they will host Southwestern Assemblies of God University at the Sid Richardson Center.
