The Texas Wesleyan Men's Basketball team lost 75-63 in the conference opener against SAGU on Thursday night at the Sid Richardson Center.
TXWES struggled on the offensive end of the court as they shot 39 percent from the field making 25 of their 65 shots from the field. The Rams also shot 9 of 25 from beyond the arc (36 percent.)
The Lions outrebounded the Rams 32 to 28. SAGU also outscored the Rams in the paint 24 to 22. The Rams bench scored 28 points.

Vydal Bradford scored 17 points on 7 of 15 shooting from the field (46 percent.) He also made 2 of his 4 three-point attempts (50 percent.)
Junior Payton Sallee scored 16 points and made 4 of his 11 three-point attempts. Junior Kristin Lafayette had a double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points.
Nykolas Mason scored 27 points for the Lions on 9 of 15 shooting from the field (60 percent.) He also made 9 of his 11 free-throw attempts (81 percent.)
TXWES moves to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in league play. SAGU moves to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Rams will host UNT-Dallas on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. at the Sid Richardson Center.
