FORT WORTH – The Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team (5-2, 1-1 SAC) picked up an 84-67 win over UNT – Dallas (2-4, 0-2 SAC)
 
The Rams outshot the Trailblazers 51% to 38% from the field and 54% (7-13) to 16% (3-19) from the three-point line. TXWES was +13 in points in the paint and led by as many as 35 on the way to the win.
 
In the first half, the Rams quickly built a 10-point, 15-5 lead on heels of a Peyton Salle runner in the lane. The team extended the lead to 15 on a Davon Berry free throw to make it 42-27. The last 1:47 of the first half went scoreless.
 
The Trailblazers got in foul trouble early in the second half, allowing the Rams to stack the lead. Kristian Lafayette threw in a layup five minutes in to run the score to a 21-point advantage. The Rams kept the pedal to the metal, racing to lopsided victory.
 
Six Rams scored double digits, with Peyton Sallee's 18 leading the way. Sallee also added six boards, four steals, going 6 of 9 from the field and 4 of 5 from downtown. Davon Berry posted 16 points. Sebastian Karwoski tacked on 13 points and seven rebounds. Lafayette pitched in 10 points, five boards, and three blocks. Lamine Komara added 11 points. Vydall Bradford posted 10 points in the win.
 
The Rams will host Jarvis Christian College on Saturday, Nov. 27. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the Sid Richardson Center.
