FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Men's Basketball team defeated John Brown for the second time this season, this time taking down the Golden Eagles 69-58 in the Sid Richardson Center.
 
Earlier this season, the Rams upset No. 22 JBU on the road, limiting them to 48 points.
 
In today's game, the Rams led by as much as 11 points in the first half and held a 35-30 advantage at the break.
 
JBU used an 8-2 run to inch within one possession at 13:27 in the second half but then went scoreless for over 5 minutes. By that time, the Rams built their edge back to double digits.
 
TXWES closed out the game out-rebounding JBU 41 to 31 and had one more turnover than their 13.
 
Peyton Sallee and 
Sebastian Karwoski each tallied 14 points. Sallee added 9 boards and Karwoski 8. 
Elijah Elliott had 13 points. 
David Shepard finished with 2 steals and 2 assists.
 
JBU was led by Densier Carnes' 21 points.
 
TXWES moves to 10-4 overall and 6-4 SAC. JBU is 5-6 overall and in the league.
 
TXWES will not play this Monday, Feb. 15 due to expected inclement weather. Their next game they will host Langston at 8 pm on Feb. 18.
