FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team fell in a 2-1 contest to Mid-America Christian on Saturday evening.
 
The Lady Rams found the back of the net first as 
Savanna Barron headed the ball into the goal on a pass from 
Tameir Grosvenor in the 25
th minute.
 
The Evangels had 5 shots on goal during the first half, but keeper 
Julia Villalobos held them down with two saves, and the Rams held a one goal lead at the break.
 
MACU would score 15 minutes into the second half to tie the game, then 14 minutes after that scored what would be the game-winner.
 
TXWES shot one more time after the score with three minutes remaining, but it was blocked by an Evangel defender.
 
The loss brings the Lady Rams to 1-1 overall and in the SAC, while MACU is now 8-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
 
Next, the Lady Rams will travel to Southwestern Christian on March 2.
