BETHANY, Okla. — The Texas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team defeated Southwestern Christian 1-0 on the road Tuesday afternoon, marking the program's 10^th consecutive and overall win over the Eagles.
 
Freshman Vanessa Soriano scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the 34^th minute assisted by senior Savanna Barron. Soriano headed the ball in after a right-side cross kick from Barron, helping the Lady Rams improve to a 2-1 overall and league record.
 
SCU drops to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
 
Senior keeper and current SAC Defensive Player of the Week Julia Villalobos notched 4 saves. The Eagles took 16 shots, 4 of them on target each wrapped up by Villalobos.
 
TXWES took 14 shots, also 4 on target, and their keeper came away with three saves.
 
The Lady Rams return home for their next contest with Oklahoma City on March 6 at Martin Field.
