Makayla Coy recorded her third double-double in a row, posting 19 points and 12 rebounds in the Ram's 54-47 loss at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Thursday evening.

The sophomore from Pflugerville, TX now has 6 double-doubles this season and 10 in the TXWES uniform. She has scored double digits in all 8 of the Ram's games this year.

Coy also added 3 steals and 2 blocks during the game. She was joined in double digit scoring by
Hailee Walls with 10 points plus 3 assists.

OPSU was led by the league's best scorer, Cassia McCaskill, with 18 points.

The Aggies edged the Rams in the first half, leading by as much as 9 and taking a 27-19 lead into the break. They shot 10 for 27 on the floor to the Rams' 7 for 26 and made 5 treys while TXWES missed all 5 of their attempts.

To start the third quarter, TXWES went on a 10-2 run to tie the game for the second time then take the lead with under 5 minutes left of the period after outscoring OPSU 19-8.

However, the fourth quarter proved nearly the opposite as the Aggies outscored the Rams 19-9. With under a minute to go, Coy made back to back buckets to put TXWES within 3 points, but the Rams missed their last 3-point try while OPSU finished the game at the line, winning 54-47.

TXWES drops to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in conference play. OPSU moves to 3-5 in both categories.
