Danielle Trought hauled in a career high four goals in the Lady Rams' 5-2 win over Wayland Baptist on Tuesday at the Lubbock Christian Soccer Field.
She had five total shots and scored the match's opening goal then her next three in the second half, including the tie breaker. Junior
Kristen Carter and Senior
Savanna Barron each assisted two of her goals.
Carter would get a career high 3 assists herself, adding another assist for a Barron goal in the first half.
TXWES took 13 shots on goal and the Pioneers 14.

The scoring started in the 10
th minute as Trought broke away from a 1v1 battle to net her first goal of the match assisted by Carter. WBU responded five minutes later with a goal of their own.
Exactly ten minutes after that, Barron got behind the Pioneer defense for a shot reaching the back of the net assisted by Carter. With less than six minutes to go before the break, WBU tied it up at 2-2 with a free kick.
In the 75th minute, Barron forwarded the ball to Trought who outran the WBU defense scoring to break the tie giving TXWES the lead. Less than two minutes later, Carter got her third assist and Trought the hat-trick.
With two minutes remaining of the match, Trought headed the ball into the goal after a corner kick delivered by Barron upping TXWES' advantage to 5-2 until time expired.
The win brings the Lady Rams to 3-2 overall and in the Sooner Athletic Conference. WBU suffers their fifth straight loss and drops to 3-5 overall and 1-5 in the league.
The Lady Rams return home for their next two games starting with Oklahoma Panhandle State on March 19 at Martin Field.
