FORT WORTH, Texas – The Texas Wesleyan women's soccer team (4-2, 4-2 SAC) earned every bit of a 2-0 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State (1-11, 0-8 SAC) at Martin Field on Friday afternoon.

The Aggies, playing a player down, spread five defenders across the back line to help whether the Ram attack. It was effective in the first 45 minutes, but TXWES found pay dirt in the second half.

The Scoring started early in the second half, with a
Julia Soriano goal in the 51st minute, her first of the year. The sophomore was able to quickly control a redirected ball and sneak it past the lower left post in a moment of craftiness.

The second goal was scored in the 54th, this time from Savannah Barron. The senior speared one in after
Lindsey Beckrich provided a great ball from outside the box toward the end line for the assist.

OPSU continued to be strong in the back and the Lady Rams could not punch anymore through, but not for lack of trying. The Lady Rams took 29 shots, 14 of which were on frame.

I was an easy day for goalkeeper
Julia Villalobos in the shutout win. She was only troubled with two shots from the Aggies, as OPSU was content with hanging back and defending, playing just one up front.

The Lady Rams host Central Christian on Wednesday, March 24th in the last home game of the regular season. That SAC contest set for a 5 p.m. start at Martin Field.
