Softball falls to USAO

FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan softball team dropped a twin bill to USAO on Friday at Sycamore Park.

The Lady Rams lost the first game 4-0 and the second 13-0.

USAO pitched a no-hitter in the first game and gave up one walk. The Lady Rams kept the Drovers scoreless in the first four innings until they plated their first run on a single up the middle.

Taylor Tubbs pitched the complete game, and catcher Allie Prewitt assisted in a pickoff and caught stealing play of the Drover offense. She would also help pick a runner off in the second game.

In game two, TXWES had a hit from Prewitt and Tubbs.

Brynna Foster started the game in the circle with Madison Ortiz and Brianna Gibbons working out of the bullpen.

TXWES is now 7-7 overall and 6-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. USAO is 25-3 and 10-2 in the league.

The Lady Rams will be back at Sycamore Park on Saturday to host Mid-America Christian for a doubleheader starting at noon.
