WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas – The Texas Wesleyan University men's golf team finished third at the 2021 Texas Intercollegiate at Hawks Creek Golf Club on Tuesday.
The No. 8 Rams went 292-289-292 for a team score of 873. No. 3 Wayland Baptist ran away with the win at 852, while No. 12 Oklahoma City took second at 867.
Tyron Davidowitz shot 8-under par for TXWES Blue and took second along with Wayland's Sebastian Tremulot. They finished one stroke behind David Meyers won the individual title at 9-under. Blue team golfer
Taylor Beckstead finished in a tie for 8th at 1-under.
Chayan Duha led TXWES Gold, shooting under par in rounds two and three to finish at 1-under.
Davidowitz led the field of 49 in par 4 scoring at 8-under, while Beackstead led all Rams at 6-under par.
Calvrann Coker notched two eagles, while Dua led the field with 40 pars.
Average score for the tournament was 76.16. The toughest hole of the tournament was no. 6, the 428-yard dog leg right. The average score was +.53 over par. The easiest hole was the 337-yard par 4 which averaged a score of 0.29 under par.
