OKLAHOMA CITY — Texas Wesleyan University's Sebastian Velasquez was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, highlighting the Rams' presence in the league's postseason honors announced Tuesday.

Velasquez, ranked No. 53 nationally, posted a 72.0 scoring average this season and recorded one top-three finish.

Texas Wesleyan also placed Brady Meek on the SAC All-Conference team.
