TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Baseball team fell 8-4 to Texas A&M-Texarkana on Tuesday afternoon.
 
TXWES had a 2-1 lead until a five run fifth inning rally by the Eagles took away the advantage from which the Rams could not recover. The Eagles tacked on two more insurance runs in the sixth before the Rams could plate one run each in the seventh and eighth.
 
Greyson Barrett went 2 for 4 at the plate with 1 RBI and a double. Jose Sosa hit 2 for 3 with 1 RBI on a sacrifice fly. Nelson Vera and Joseph Barfield had 1 RBI each.
 
Barrett, Sosa and Carson Cheaney each had a stolen base.
 
Matt Moclair started on the hill, pitching 2.1 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 unearned run and no walks.
 
Jaxon Ingram appeared in the bottom of the third and set down four batters before the Eagle's fifth inning rally where he gave 5 runs, 3 earned, on five hits.
 
Stephen Roberts took over out of the bullpen and allowed 1 hit and 2 insurance runs. Garrett Moltzan and Jalen Evans closed out the last two innings allowing no hits or runs.
 
The 17-13 (6-6 SAC) Rams return to league play this weekend with a home and home series with Southwestern Assemblies of God.
