FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Baseball team picked up a pair of wins against Central Christian College (Kan.) on Saturday, beating the Tigers 13-4 and 11-3 on what was also senior appreciation day.
Between games, the program recognized the valuable contributions its seniors have brought to the team.

Matt Moclair,
Max Martinez,
Kaden Brown,
Ryne Randle, and
JD Valle were recognized at the mound and given a cowboy hat.
"These seniors will always hold a special mark in our program," head coach
Bobby Garza said. "Some of these seniors returned after Covid-19 ended their season last year, and the rest of the seniors have been dealing with this roller coaster of a season and Covid-19 protocols.
"Each of them has greatly impacted our program in many different areas. It's been remarkable seeing each of them grow as players, but mostly as individuals. We are fortunate to have them with us."
Senior day was made extra special as the Rams swept the double header combining for 24 runs on 20 hits. Six hits were doubles and 7 home runs.
Leading the Rams at the plate was sophomore catcher
Carson Cheaney who hit 4-5 with 8 RBI with 3 home runs including a grand slam in game one. He also doubled in game two.
Kaden Brown also had a successful day at the plate, batting 4-5 with 1 RBI and 3 runs.
Other notables from game one were
Jose Sosa hitting a double and homer for 2 RBI.
JD Valle hit a two-run blast and stole a base.
Ryne Randle also stole a base and hit an RBI double.
Marcos Sanchez improved to 3-3 on the mound pitching the first 4 innings allowing 4 hits, 4 runs, 3 walks and struck out 3 batters.
In game two, Bahnsen hit 2-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs, one a homer. Randle went 1-2 with a double, 3 RBI and 2 runs.
Nelson Vera also went yard and finished with 3 RBI.
Jalen Evans started on the mound going 4 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and 2 walks while striking out 8 batters.
The Rams wrap up their series with CCCK on Sunday at 2 pm at Sycamore Park.
