GOODWELL, Okla. — The Texas Wesleyan Baseball team picked up a pair of Sooner Athletic Conference wins on the road at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Friday, winning 4-3 and 6-3.

In the first game,
Kaden Brown,
Jose Sosa and
Carson Cheaney each had two hits. Sosa batted in a team high 2 runs on a double to deep right center.

The Rams plated 3 runs in the third inning and led until the fifth when OPSU tied with 3 of their own. The game remained knotted until the top of nine.
Joseph Barfield reached on leadoff error and advanced to third on a Cheaney single.
Brayden Bahnsen hit a sacrifice fly to plate Barfield for the go ahead run.

Jalen Evans came on to pitch the final inning. He walked the first but struck out the second. Behind the dish, Cheaney threw out the runner stealing second tagged out by Brown. Evans finished with a swinging strikeout to earn his second save of the year.
Garrett Moltzan (5-3) got the win out of the bullpen, appearing in the fifth replacing starter
Morgan McCloud.

Evans stayed on the mound for the second game of the DH, pitching six innings for the win. He allowed 4 hits, 3 runs and 1 walk while striking out 8 batters. It was his fourth game this season with 8 punchouts.

Matt Moclair got the save in the final inning, retiring the side in order on groundouts.

On offense, Barfield led the Rams with a 2-3, 4 RBI outing. He batted in the first run of the game on a single and in the sixth inning, he blasted a 3-run shot over the right field fence.
Marcos Sanchez also homered in the game, a 2-run homer in the third.

The (26-14, 14-6 SAC) Rams will close out the regular season on Saturday with OPSU (12-33, 6-15 SAC) with a single game starting at noon.
