FORT WORTH, Texas — The TXWES Men's Soccer team opened their season with a pair of home wins this weekend, taking down Arlington Baptist 10-3 on Friday and Jarvis Christian 3-1 Saturday at Martin Field.

11 different Rams scored goals over the weekend with freshman
Mathis Guffroy netting a hat trick in Friday's match versus ABU. Freshman
Augustas Aldonis assisted with two goals and scored one of his own in that game as well.

Jovanni Angon. Assists came from Aldonis,
Oscar Odriozola and
Diego Rivera.

Against Jarvis Christian on Saturday, returning All-SAC player
Mateja Jovanovic found the back of the net in the ninth minute for the game's first goal. JCC scored their first and only goal in the 30
th minute with TXWES junior
Mario Herrera responding with one of his own just over a minute later.

Senior
Chihiro Ichimura capped off the scoring with a goal in the 73
rd minute.

Local freshman product,
Hugh Elliott, got his first start as goalkeeper against JCC and had 3 saves. The previous night versus ABU, he appeared in the 60
th minute and got one save.

The Rams hit the road for their next match at Houston-Victoria on Friday, Sept. 3 and return for a three game homestand at Martin Field.
