FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Volleyball team took down Southwestern Christian in straight sets (25-12, 25-13, 25-11) on Wednesday evening for their first win of the season.

Two Lady Rams notched double-doubles in the match. Sophomore setter
Emily Brooks tallied 21 assists and 10 digs. She also knocked down 4 kills with a perfect attack percentage and had 3 aces.

Also, with a double-double was junior
Skylar Warde who had 10 kills and 11 digs.

Leading the Lady Rams with a career high 16 kills and 6 total blocks was senior
Veronika Webb. She matched Brooks with 3 aces herself.

Haley Harvey led all players with 15 digs.

TXWES is now 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, while the SCU Eagles drop to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the league.

The Lady Rams hit the road for the Bellevue Tournament in Nebraska Sept. 3-4 where they will face four opponents, two of which are nationally ranked in No. 2 Jamestown and No. 11 Central Methodist.
