FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team shutout a short-handed Bacone College team 16-0 on Friday afternoon at Martin Field.

Bacone started the game with just 9 players including their keeper leaving TXWES plenty of room to take advantage of.

Of the 16 goals scored by the Lady Rams, 4 were hauled in by senior
Marlye Francis in her first appearance of the season. Additionally, fellow senior
Savanna Barron netted a hat trick for the second time on the young season as the Lady Rams improve to 4-1-1 overall.

Scoring two goals each were sophomore
Danica Kunschik and freshman
Mikayla Trevino.

Other goals scored came from senior
Reyna Ramirez, junior
Cara Zwilling, sophomore
Sierra Reich and freshmen
Vanessa Soriano and
Kirkland Redic.

Redic finished the game with two assists while Soriano, Francis, Ramirez and junior
Gabriela Moreno added one apiece.

The Bacone College Warriors had two shots on goal, each saved by freshman
Amia Harris in the second half.

The Lady Rams will travel to Texas A&M-Texarkana Sept. 18 before hosting Wayland Baptist on Sept. 28 to start Sooner Athletic Conference play.
