FORT WORTH, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team overpowered Bacone College in a 13-0 shutout on Friday evening at Martin Field.

Four Rams scored two goals each in freshmen
Mateja Jovanovic,
Hector Perez,
Joep Van Wyk, and Augustus Aldonis. Jovanovic also had two assists during the match.

Other goals came from juniors
James Kerr and Oscar Oriozola, sophomores
Chihiro Ichimura and
Carlos Rodriguez and freshman
Mathis Guffroy.

The Rams took a 5-0 lead into halftime and did not allow Bacone any shots until the second half. Only one of their shots was on target and saved by freshman
Hugh Elliott.

TXWES really picked up momentum in the second half, scoring eight goals total, including a string of three goals in under two minutes.

In the 69
th minute, Guffroy put back the ninth goal of the game, then 50 seconds later Aldonis and Van Wyk connected for the tenth Ram goal. Just 27 seconds passed before the same pair would net the eleventh goal of the game.

The Rams are now 3-1-1 overall and will host Texas College at 6 pm on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Martin Field.
