FORT WORTH, Texas — The Lady Rams cruised to their fifth win in a row after sweeping Huston-Tillotson University in straight sets (25-17, 25-7, 25-7) on Tuesday evening.

Nyia Anderson led with 10 kills while
Bailey Foy knocked down 9 kills.
Morgan Burns totaled 34 assists; her fifth match in a row with 30 or more assists.Â

Playing as libero,
Skylar Warde led the Lady Rams with 9 digs.
Andrea Malek and
Ruby O'Brien had 2 aces each of TXWES' 9 total.

Set one was the most evenly matched, and the only set that HTU would hit in the positive attacking percentage. The Lady Rams jumped to a 13-4 lead to start, but errors cost them allowing HTU to close the gap late, 23-17.

Anderson knocked down her sixth kill of the set then Malek finished it off with an ace for the first set victory.

From there, HTU unraveled as TXWES took control of the match, beating HTU in the remaining sets by the same score 25-7. The third set was highlighted by an 18-1 TXWES run.

The victory takes the Lady Rams to 6-4 overall, while HTU falls to 2-1.

The Lady Rams will be back in the Sid Richardson Center this weekend, hosting conference opponents MACU on Friday and USAO on Saturday.
