TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team shutout Texas A&M-Texarkana 1-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Chihiro Ichimura scored the only goal of the game in the 37^th minute to lead the Rams.
 
TXWES maintained possession for much of the game, taking 16 total shots, while limiting he Eagles to just 4 shots.
 
Only 2 of TAMU-T's shots were on target, and they were saved by the Rams' senior keeper Bastian Blumenberg in his first game back since sustaining an injury in the season opener.
 
The win improves TXWES to 5-2-1 overall before they begin Sooner Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 28 by hosting Wayland Baptist.
