WAXAHACIE, Texas — The Texas Wesleyan Volleyball team defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God 3-2 (25-14, 19-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-12) on the road Tuesday night.

It was a big win for us against an extremely solid team" Head Coach Jessica Ransom said. "There were some up and down moments, but ultimately I'm proud of the team coming together and fighting for it."

Morgan Burns set a career high 58 assists during the match, besting her previous high of 50 assists which she has tallied twice in her time at TXWES. The senior from La Vernia, Texas also recorded 20 digs against SAGU for her first double-double of the season.
 
Bailey Foy added a season high 18 kills for the Lady Rams as did Nyia Anderson with 14 kills. Anderson paired that with 19 digs for her third double-double of the season.
 
For the fourth time this season, Veronika Webb finished with 13 kills and had a season high 8 blocks. Arianna Alvarado also tallied 13 kills.
 
The Lady Rams remain on the road for their next three matches beginning with a stop at Siloam Springs, Ark. to face John Brown on Oct. 1.
