BETHANY, OK-- The Texas Wesleyan men's basketball team (17-6,10-5 SAC) defeated Southwestern Christian University (10-9,8-8) 73-65 on Saturday afternoon in Bethany Oklahoma.

After the victory today the Rams are fourth in the Sooner Athletic Conference with a 10-5 record in conference play. TXWES has secured 10 wins in conference play for the ffifth time in the last 7 years. 

The Rams captured their 17th win of the season on saturday which is the sixth time in ten seasons under head coach Brennen Shingleton that TXWES has won 17 games or more in a season.

With 7 games left in the season, the Rams have a chance to win 24 games which would be the most since the 2016-2017 NAIA National Championship team. 

The Rams move to 12-5 all-time against Southwestern Christian University after winning their third straight matchup. TXWES hits the road to Chickasha, Oklahoma on Monday, Jan. 31 against USAO.
