The TXWES defense was able to hold off the LCU offense for 14 plays on the next drive before the Wildcats scored on the ensuing drive of 14 plays and 75 yards ending in a rushing touchdown of 3 yards leaving the score through the end of the third quarter 24-3. The Wildcats would convert the drive for another rushing touchdown of 33 yards in the fourth quarter, increasing the score to 31-3.

Backup QB Carson Rodgers found the endzone for the Rams with a touchdown pass completed to WR Kieran Koltun of 14 yards. They were capping a 7-play 70-yard drive after the missed field goal, leaving the score 31-9.
